Abstract: 

Hyperimmunoglobulin E (HIE) syndrome is a rare immunodeficiency disorder. HIE syndrome has multiple abnormalities include recurrent skin abscesses (hence, the name JOB syndrome), pneumonia, high serum levels of IgE, Facial, dental and skeletal features. We presented a case of HIE with dermatologic findings, recurrent productive cough and facial features. The diagnosis of HIE require differentiation from other disease. No definitive therapy is available for the treatment. The mainstay of treatment is the control of bacterial infections.

Abstract: 

Introduction: Ethical living is a lifestyle in which all areas of human existence and work are formed and flow around ethics. That is, a person who wants to live morally, in all areas, tries to know the ethical considerations related to that area and follow them in practice and live according to them. The current article is research on the moral system of Thomas Aquinas with a focus on examining the nature of the moral goal of human life and the moral rationality of such a life. Material and Methods: The present review study examined bioethics from the PERSPECTIVE of Thomas Aquinas in a descriptive manner. In order to achieve this goal, articles related to research keywords from Thomson Information Institute, Science Direct and Pub Med were examined and books related to the views of Thomas Aquinas were studied. Conclusion: The results of this study show that according to Thomas Aquinas's view on man, becoming like God and realizing God's image in material life and seeing God in the hereafter is the moral goal and eternal happiness of man. Also, Thomas Aquinas believes in the moral rationality of such a life from both PERSPECTIVEs-having a reason to live morally and the usefulness of such a life.

Abstract: 

Background & Aim: Nursing by its very nature is subject to high degrees of stress and is very important because of its relation with human’s life. The aim of the present study is determining JOB stressors from within clinical nurses’ PERSPECTIVE.Material & methods: It was a descriptive cross-sectional study. The participants were 68 nurses working in two public hospitals in Tehran that were recruited by convenience sampling. Data was collected by nurses JOB stress Questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS-PC.Results: The highest mean score in four dimensions of nurses’ JOB stressors were determined. In managerial dimension it was related to low salaries (3.40±0.83); in work place conditions dimension, it was related to ward noise and overcrowding (3.38±.93), and in patient care dimension, it was related to presence of visitors out of official time (3.29±0.89). Among four dimensions the mean score for managerial dimension was the highest (2.49±0.76)Conclusion: regarding the importance of managerial stressors, nurse managers need to consider and modify these stressors in clinical settings of Tehran.

Abstract: 

Background and Aim: JOB enrichment is a method that has been used to increase employee satisfaction and work motivation. The Hackman and Oldham JOB characteristics model (1976) has served as the foundation for many JOB enrichment efforts. In particular, a considerable amount of research has been devoted to the study of the JOB characteristics-JOB satisfaction relations. Te purpose of this study was to statistically determine the relation between JOB characteristics and JOB satisfaction among employees of hospitals affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) in 2007. Materials and Methods: This study was a cross-sectional one, including 6 TUMS-affiliated hospitals-Emam, Shariati, Baharlo, Ziaeian, Madaen and Azadi. The sample size was 400, consisting of 200 administrative employees (50%), 151 nurses (38%) and 49 physicians (12%). The random sampling and stratified proportional sampling methods were used to select the hospitals and interviewees, respectively. Two questionnaires were developed and used to identify JOB characteristics and JOB satisfaction: 1) JOB diagnostics surveys (JDS) and 2) Hertzberg's JOB satisfaction questionnaire. The reliability of the questionnaires was ascertained by test-retest using the Pearson correlation coefficient (r = 0.88). Linear-by-linear association and ordinal logistics regression analysis were used for analyzing the data gathered.Results:The relations between the Motivational Potential Score (MPS) and JOB characteristics (except for feedback) with JOB satisfaction were statistically significant (p<0.05). Task identity was the most effective determinant of JOB satisfaction. Conclusion: It appears that all the JOB characteristics (except feedback) are important determinants of JOB satisfaction of the hospital employees. Although the work environment is in need of restructuring, it is important to note, from a positive PERSPECTIVE, that the JOB characteristics discussed in this study are readily amenable to change JOB satisfaction at the organizational level.

Abstract: 

The current research was conducted with the aim of identifying the employment competencies of educational graduates from the PERSPECTIVE of view of employers. This research was applied in terms of purpose and was among the qualitative researches of Grounded Theory type. The participants of this research included 24 employers in the field of educational (interviewers for the Education recruitment exam, directors of non-state educational institutes, directors and recruitment officers of non-state schools, directors of kindergartens and preschools) in Birjand city. Data were collected using semi-structured interview and analyzed by Strauss and Corbin method and using MAXQDA-2020 software. In order to validate the research, two methods of member control and peer review or feedback were used. Consecutive review and comparison of data resulted in the extraction of 28 categories and 6 themes. Data analysis led to the formation of a sub-theory. The model shows that the focal variable is the process of education and teaching skills. The focal variable, under the influence of contextual and intermediate conditions, leads to the formation of the strategies of "being a lifelong learner", "research skills", "planning skills", "classroom skills and classroom management", "purposefulness" and "problem solving skills". became Finally, "increasing employability" was the consequence of this process.

Abstract: 

Purpose: A 12 year-old boy and a known case of JOB’s syndrome presented with a large conjunctival mass which represented coexistence of HPV and HSV infections.Case Report: The presence of HPV virus within these lesions was confirmed by biopsy and DNA analysis. The mass lesions did not respond to anti-HPV therapy with topical interferon-2b, oral cimetidine and oral acyclovir, but improved promptly with antiviral therapy with intravenous acyclovir administered for cutaneous herpetic lesions. HSV infection was diagnosed clinically by the typical extensive epithelial dendritic lesion over the conjunctival mass and its dramatic response to IV acyclovir.Conclusion: Based on our results and on the relevant literature we propose an immunological mechanism for this unique manifestation of coexisting herpes simplex virus and human papilloma virus infections in hyper-IgE syndrome.

Abstract: 

Purpose: Something that happens in the future of a scientific field depends on today's view of young people about the future. The perception of young people from the future and their conception of the future is very important. The purpose of this study was to imaging the future of sports science from the PERSPECTIVE of educated youth. Method: The method of the present research is qualitative and exploratory research and in terms of purpose is applied research. The statistical population of the study included educated youth who are familiar with sports science and the snowball sampling method was used for interviews and theoretical saturation were obtained with 23 interviews. To analyze the data, the content analysis method has been used to obtain the information of this research. Findings: The results show the future of sports science among educated youth consists of seven main concepts that include: hope for a green education system, excessive interest in working in the sports industry, basic reengineering, relative disappointment from the ability of authorities, social position through academic education, desire for empowerment and lack of skills, injustice, and utilitarianism. Conclusion: Finally, by observing the mental images of the youth, it can be stated that sports science will move towards the dystopia if the current situation continues, and it can move towards the utopia with fundamental changes. In this direction, the stakeholders of sports sciences need to be together and disagreements need to be managed as well as arbitrariness of sports science professionals should be reduced.

Abstract: 

حوادث در محیط کار باعث آسیب رساندن به پرسنل می شود که با شناسایی این خطرات می توان از بسیاری از آنها پیشگیری نمود. پژوهش حاضر بصورت مقطعی با هدف شناسایی خطرات و ارزیابی ریسک با استفاده از تکنیک آنالیز ایمنی شغلی آن در یکی از آزمایشگاههای کشور انجام شد. ایتدا خطرات فرآیند شناسایی شد و ارزیابی ریسک فعالیتهای انجام شد و در نهایت اولویت بندی خطرات انجام گرفت و راه حل کنترلی ارائه گردید. تجزیه و تحلیل ریسک پر خطر کار در آزمایشگاه که شامل: عدم استفاده از وسایل حفاظتی مخصوصا دستکش مقاوم و غیر قابل نفوذ، ماسک، روپوش، پیش بندمخصوص وغیره برای پرسنل و دانشجویان، عدم جمع آوری پسماندهایی مانند ظروف پلاستیکی، شیشه ای و نیز جعبه ها ی کیت ها و معرف ها که طی کارآلوده به سرم و مایعات بدن می شوند، درمحفظه های جداگانه ای جهت مراحل بازیافت، عدم برقراری ارتباط برای دفع زائدات خطرناک با شهرداری، عدم درخواست بازرسانی برای بازدید و کنترل آزمایشگاه، عدم درخواست جمع آوری جداگانه زائدات جدا شده از سایر زائدات از شهرداری، عدم درخواست بررسی پساب آزمایشگاه توسط شرکت آب و فاضلاب و چگونگی دفع آن بوده است. 64 % از خطرات شناسایی شده در محدوده پر خطر، 27 % در محدوده خطر متوسط و 9 % در محدوده کم خطر قرار دارند. از جمله اقداماتی که در مورد خطرات با ریسک متوسط می توان انجام داد شامل: برنامه ریزی در مورد کاهش حجم پسماند تولیدی، آموزش تحت یک برنامه ریزی خاص در خصوص مدیریت پسماندها و در صورت امکان استفاده از مواد شیمیایی و ضدعفونی کننده ای که خطرکمتری برای افراد و محیط زیست دارند می باشد. اقداماتی که در مورد ریسک های کم خطر حین کار می توان انجام داد شامل: برنامه ریزی برای استفاده از درمقابل وسایلی که دوباره وارد چرخه کاری در مقابل وسایل یک بارمصرف می باشد.
